Well it turns out a pandemic wasn’t the best time to start a newsletter on trauma.
But the desire to write and learn about trauma and to develop this community is still there so I’m going to re-start with apologies for the delay. In return for your understanding I have given a lifetime status to everyone who supported me in those hopeful early days. Thank you.
I am also going to do something a little different as I hope to pick up momentum again on our conversation about trauma and its effects. We are going to do a book club which will hopefully not only benefit those who read along but also those who only follow here. If this works we will make it an ongoing thing that happens while the newsletter continues as well.
So without further ado the first book - which also happens to be my favorite.
Trauma and Recovery The Aftermath of Violence--From Domestic Abuse to Political Terror
Instead of doing this all at once we are going to read Part One and talk about it on December 15th.
If you want to read and don’t have the financial means please message me and we will make sure you are able to read along.
For a preview of book two — here is a good introductory video with the author of The Body Keeps the Score
That sounds like a great book. I'll definitely participate.
